We will win

When I looked around there was grief and despair

Selfishness abounded, no one seemed to care

How could I go on, could I ever learn to cope

Through the looming shadows, I sought a ray of hope

In my darkest moment, the law came to me

It opened up my eyes to life’s true dignity

What a revelation, the Buddhahood inside

Cleansed of all illusion, there was nothing to hide

You brought the law into my life

You opened my eyes to see

Thank you thank you dear Sensei

For the precious gift you gave to me

Brothers and sisters of the Mystic Law

We advance in unity

With you as our mentor and our lives

We’ll create sweet harmony

You showed us the way, to make dreams come true

Our future filled with happiness, we owe it all to you

You gave a perfect teaching, without a flaw

Guided by compassion, we worked to spread the law

Though we’re far apart, we are united as one

Like rays of warmth and light, emanating from the sun

Cherry, plum, peach and damson

All fruits of different trees

Together we spread our sweetness for all humanity
